Is this thing really worth $40 or should i just stay with the old paper oil filters. Its a pain having to buy new oil filteres every tim i change my oil. Is this a good investment?

when I had money a few weeks ago I was looking to buy one but no one ahd them in stock...I have only heard good things about them
