yes i know this has been asked a thousand times but..... im debating on getting my frame powdercoated or not while the motor is out and its nearly completly taken apart....
now my quads an 87 so it could use a little cosmetic work, i ride everyday in dusty condtions so id want a color that wouldnt look TO DIRTY
ok so i think i'll be getting the shiny silver race cut plastic, what color frame would go good with this? and about how much does it ussaly cost to get just a frame powdercoated?
thanks

I am not sure what color masks dirt the best??? But hey you are supposed to clean it after every ride anyway ....right..

I would go with something along the lines of a titanium look or something like that..

I don't know about where you live but around here it costs about $350-450 to do the frame... but it really depends on how much prep work you do and what they are doing color wise.. Hope that helps you a little..

Send Chris Waters a PM. He will hook you up. You can see a lot of his posts with pics of his work. Awesome job!

sorry my post dosnt make much sense.... i meant that will hide dirt the best (not look so dirty) titanium type color would look pretty good... im not set on the silver plastic so if anyone has any suggestions for a color combo?
wash after every ride? LOL hard to do when you ride everyday...
ive seen ChrisWaters work and its really good but i would want to get it done local

lighter colors show less dirt. I have black and it shows everything even dust.

$350-450 for a frame? No way I know a guy who does awesome powdercoating. He did my frame for only 125. He sponsors a Porsche racing team and does all the work for them. He is awesome. If you need to get the frame sandblasted thats another 65. Id also consider doing more than just your frame. CHeck out my signature to see all the things I did. The possibilities are endless. All mine was done w/ sandblasting for under 300. e-mail me if you have any questions or want to see a pic. ridered300@excite.com

350-400 does sound a little steep.... i know people got whole truck frames done for that much.... my friend has a eastwood system and i could do all the small stuff myself
thanks
and id like to see the pics of your 300ex

I know when they told me that I just laughed at them.. and said ok I'll get back to you...NOT... thats why I haven't had it done yet.. I don't want to ship it but it may come to that..

I can see that, I just used sparingly, as an accent color with red as my main
