mine looks very close to yours but i went with the yoshi trs s/s carb pipe .

Posted by: CatMostFeared

22" front tires and 20" rears
rear rim are 9x9 and front are 10x5 with 4x1 offset
staying the stock swingarm and Elka linkage and yes I'll have LT up front.

Posted by: BOONE450R

thanks, thats what im getting. the elka are next on my list and arms.

Posted by: remlapr

Curious why you decided on the Elka over the GTT? I have heard only good about the GTT and mostly bad about the Elka

Posted by: WhiteZee

marty, which a-arms are you going with?

Posted by: TheMachine

I thought i had a nice looking 450, but its nothing compared to yours.

Posted by: CatMostFeared

I'm going long travel Houser a-arms and Elite Elka shocks
(High Speed Low Speed )

Posted by: CatMostFeared

What have you heard thats bad ?
The Elka linkage is great way better than stock and the
GT Thunder in some aeras is better.

Posted by: John Houser

That's a nice looking front end!!!
Are you going to use our long travel link setup on the rear. It uses a 17" long shock. It needs to be used with our swing arm. It gives 11.5" of wheel travel & eliminates the "buck". I am making 120 of these this week. 1/3 of these are all ready sold. IT WORKS!!!

Posted by: WhiteZee

wow marty. that looks great, im jealous. we need to hit bucks run up sometime soon.

Posted by: CatMostFeared

Xfactor nerfs propegs

Posted by: Jersey450R

thats a nice bike man, i especially like thae fact that you can just throw a different set of rims and tires on there and race mx too. props.

Posted by: exrider44

How do you like those razr2's? I heard they dont slide well in the rear is that true?

Posted by: CatMostFeared

They side great no problems I like the regular razors on dry hard dirt better.

I use them because of there tuff side walls.

Posted by: allmixedup047

very nice. now go put it out front and win some races!

Posted by: exrider44

Thanks Im having a hard time deciding what tires to get I have had razrs before but Im up in the air right now between razrs holeshots and the kenda's

Posted by: CatMostFeared

Well I dont care for Kenda much ITP's work great on rocky ground. I like the Razors2 because what ever race I go to
they will work the best.If it wet and muddy I'm ready and the razor's 2 work pretty good in dry condition.I have to buy my own tires and I just cant have 2 or 3 set around to change for the weather. So this out of all tires I have used I pic the razor2s because they work in every condition.

Posted by: exrider44

If they work good in all conditions Im sold. Im gonna order a set this weekend. I dont race but I ride alot of different conditions. Sand hard packed mudd etc. So I guess these are best.

Posted by: infantry317

That is the coolest 450R I've seen yet. Very nice

Posted by: dvsmnd

hell yah that R is sick, nice job

Posted by: 250xridamatt

Posted by: allmixedup047

why did you sell the yfz? do you like the R better?

Posted by: WhiteZee

did he not like the yfz for xc very much? i dont race xc, and im wondering how my R will run against all the yfz's in the mx races in arizona, hopefully they all suck down there, but i doubt it.

Posted by: CatMostFeared

YFZ is a sweat machine I like how the 450r handles better in the woods for me its smoother.

Posted by: CatMostFeared

This is my take are you ready.

1st of all I really like both quads I have always been a Yamaha guy.
When the quads came I didnt want to kick start at all so I went with
the Yamaha. But After riding John's Honda in the maxxis 6 hr race I liked the Honda for woods riding much better. To me its like this the yamaha seems faster to me because it has a 2 stroke type kick to it real snappy were the honda power is smoother.I'm not a pro rider but I can ride pretty fast when I'm in shape and ride alot.( Riding every race just isnt enough seat time.)If you a fast wild rider like me I'm all over the place The honda goes where you point it.The honda is easier to set up in the turns.

Look at Borich when him Ballance where racing 250R's he was #2 always on bills butt.If you watch all the GNCC videos you can see he rides wild but very fast.

Now Bill Is very fast but very smooth So if you can control The Yamaha easy like he does. The Yamaha would be my pic for mx for sure. What I dont like about the Yamaha was its electric problems but that can all be fixed.I never had a electric problem one time.I did bend alot of tierods .

Kicking the honda is no big deal and I like not have a battery. If Honda comes out with electric start I'm staying with the kicker.

I wish I could keep them both But I used all the money from the yamaha to trick out my Honda.Stock vs stock I like how the Yamaha rides If I were running stock class I would like the Yamaha but the Honda steers better.

im the same way.
but after riding yfz's i think i would be just as fast on the R as the YFZ if i hadnt had either bike.
