you may ask why not a 450r or a 400ex and how do you jump a 300ex. i thought of it as a fun challenge. i love this quad and the next project is a 450r

thats the reason why when im next to that 400ex or 450r and the little 300ex is staying with it.

for all of us 12 year olds out there it sux for us,they are gonna pass a law that says we have to be 16 to ride one of em... screw that man it aint other kids faults that so many smaller kids have gotta out there and gotten themselves hurt or killed. i sympethize for them i really do but it aint other peoples problems...

16 Bought a 1999 400ex a couple months ago for $3500, Id love to have all the quads that the 14 year old's have but i live in Canada "eh" and things cost a hell of a lot more over here than they do in the states. This really pisses me off because ill be looking through a magazine or parts catalogue and see a price on something i want and the price is within my budget but when i go to a dealer to buy it it'll be 2 or 3 times the price i saw, plus my parent's wont throw a penny my way for anything i want so after i bought the quad i had $600 left and after i bought the bearings and new oil tank i am now broke and can invest no more money in to my quad. So sure these kids may have worked hard for their money so that they could buy their quads but i think that if they lived somewhere other than the u.s. then they wouldn't have so many quads and so many mods.

im 15 almost 16 got my 400ex when i was 13 and spent every dollar i got sence then on the quad so i can race when im 16. i sold the engine and some uther stuff alredy cuz im gona put a yz426 in it. and half the stuff on my quad that ant stock is suz i broke it n my mom had to buy new parts. in a week or two im gettin a anty fade lock nut for my back end.
i cased one of my doubles 2 times n row and after that i went in my uther track n hit a 3 foot single n the axel brokewile i was going up the jump. then i almost roaled the quad trying to clime up the ditch with only 3 tires.
N I NEVER CRASHED THE QUAD N MY LIFE N IM IN NOT A GRANDMA I COULD PROBLY BEAT 80% OF PEOPLE ON MY QUAD THAT ANT PRO.

i jest made 2 more dubbles but wont be able to hit em till next year cuz i dont have a engine n no bearings n my fron hub. but the 2 new doubles i will have to hit 4th gear. my new neighbor races n he gots a 7 n a half foot tall kicker ramp to clear the tree line. i wont be hitten it till next year sadly.

lol thats some funny stuff....yah i have been riding since i was 14 and never crashed untill this summer at my last race...im 18 and i flat landed a 90 foot double and snapped my wrist....if your not crashing then your not riding hard enough IMO....every hard rider atleast takes 2-3 hard spills

in north carolina they are trying to pass a law that people under 18 cant ride a atv of any size unless you are with an adult and they have already passed the 16 and under rule but now i guess im a outlaw with a yfz

And she knows that I need to ride,its what keeps me goin.when she called me up and asked what kind of quad I wanted,I felt like I was 13 again.couldnt believe my ears!Although it is hard to accept a gift like that,I went down to the dealer and put fingerprints all over the one I wanted.The next day as I was ridin it home(I can get there by trails),I was a little sad.I knew what she gave up so she could give me what I needed.Alot of times kids get gifts just so thier parents can use it to control them.(dang,just gave away one of those parenting secrets)Sis aint like that.

14, mods in sig... parents helped me out a bit but ive had BAAD luck with this quad, 2 pistons, 2 sets of rings, a crank rebuild, back shock blown to bits, stolen tires... you name it. And ive only had it for just over a year.

23-- 400ex with some mods. Gonna sell it soon though. Got to get my shoulder fixed and if its sitting around I'm going to ride it, and I don't want to blow out my shoulder for a 3rd time (at least not right away)

And the money from selling it will be a nice down payment on a 450 when I am ready to ride again.
