Where are you guys buying you skat trak extremes from? I'm finally ditching the geckos and getting some extremes, and was wondering where I can get the best deal from. How many paddles should I run on a 450R with hrc kit and full exhaust system? Thanks for any info!

I'd run 7 paddle extremes or 9 paddle haulers. the extremes bog the 450 down a bit even with its power output. i'd go for the haulers though, the paddles are a bit shorter so you can get the wheelspin you need.

The Extremes and Haulers have the same paddle height, the Extremes have a thicker paddle. There is the 'Taller Hauler' which has a taller paddle.

same paddle except the extreme is 1/8" thicker (all the way around) the hauler might be a little bit lighter and spin faster but I like my extremes, they hardly wear at all!

I bought my Extremes from local dealer "Scott's ATV". I have 21X12X8 extremes. Best gearing for me is 13-39. Have HRC kit and Sparks pipe. Also have scat-trak Mohawks up front. Both save alot of weight.

I buy most my stuff from www.rockymountainatv.com . I use the 20x10x10 8 paddle haulers for my 450r and 400ex. I also have a set of Skat-trax 22x8x8 10 paddle draglights on the rear and Skat-trax mohawks on the front my 250r.

I ended up buying the 20x10x10 8 paddle haulers from rocky mountain. They had the best price I could find. It's hard to find any place that can beat any of their time prices. They should have came in today, I can't wait to try them out next week!

i wwas going to say look at the 8 paddle gbc sand devils, there only like 125 with rims and for a cheap tire they hookup really well, no problems climbing anything.

20x10x10 8 paddles is a good choice and once again rocky mountain gets the call. Great Prices

How would the 8 paddle haulders work for a piped and filter 400ex ? Would it bog it down more than some sand sharks ?

The only problem with getting any hauler from rocky mountain is they have the haulers that are about 20 pounds each mounted. Skat Trak used Kenda Dominator carcases and buffed them down. Very heavy. Weigh them if you dont believe me. Chaparall has the light ones. They are 13-14 pounds depending on which tire size and paddle you go with. These carcases are Nangkang. Very light.
My brother is running 21x12x8 6 paddles Haulers on his YFZ and he is beating everything at the Amargosa sand dunes. He was beating an 800cc V-Force on nitrous by about 2 lengths. The less paddles you have, the more top end. The more paddles you have, the better holeshot but less top end.
A good link to read about paddles is on YFZcentral.

Yes for piped trx or yfz 21x12x8 6-7paddle would be the best hookup, 8+paddle is too much for these bikes. I have 21x12x8 6paddle on my yfz with esr pipe and esr intake and these tires are unbeleiveable, throw a big roost and dune really good.

There is no way my Haulers I got from rocky mountain weigh 20lbs apiece!! I don't even think my elcheapo Geckos weighed that much.

does rockymountain charge for shipping? Also are chaparrals prices with wheels? I cant find wheel & tire kits on their site

I know Rocky Mountain charges for shipping. I don't know much about Chapparel, but I would guess they have tire and wheel packages. I bet they can't beat Rocky Mountain's prices though. Magic Racing is the only other place I have found that even comes close.
