Is anyone from the East Texas area and if so, do you know of any MX tracks that are around here? I know of Swann but don't know anything about it and if they even let atvs out there to run on their track.

Posted by: outacontrol31

if you go to mxpictures.com and go to the tracks section it lists alot of tracks around the dfw area and every where else, also there is a place to ride down in texarkana, and swan does let quads out there every once in awhile

Posted by: MrTrendy1

The problem with going to Dallas or even Texarkana is it's about a 2 hour drive from here. I mean, I live in the Tyler/Longview area and I really don't want to haul my quad 2 hours every weekend just to go ride. Both places are 2 hours or farther. Swan is about the only place local (within 45 mins) from me.

wheres swann at? i grew up in kemp which is about 30 nw of athens and i go down there all the time w/the quads to mess around in the pasture. let me know know if you find anything.

Posted by: MrTrendy1

Swann is located in Lindale or basically in Tyler almost. It's off Hwy 110 between Lindale and Tyler.

Posted by: DaleJrFan

i did some looking online and found that there is a new mx track in athens, this is there web address http://www.athensmx.tk/
hope it helps.

Posted by: MrTrendy1

Very much appreciated! I've done searches before and really haven't came up with much. If you find anymore let me know!

Athens MX is a cool track. It is all sand, though, so it's a bit different than your normal dirt track. There is a track south of Greenville called Caddo Point Motorsports, and it is owned by folks whose sons race quads in the nationals, so it's geared toward quads. http://www.caddopointmotorsports.com. Also, there is a track in Greenville (Greenville MX). I don't have the link handy, but I hear it's a decent track. The one in Texarkana is west of there in a town named Hooks. I've raced there and it is a fun track.

Posted by: MrTrendy1

Thanks for the info. I'm looking into how far away that is from here. Caddo Point actually looks like a great track as well. They even have links to a lot of the other tracks around here also.

check out rageatv.com
i race with the STQRA,great bunch of guys and gals,i know of 4 tracks in and around houston that are about 30 mins. tops from my house

Posted by: MrTrendy1

Houston is like a 4 hour drive or so from here. I mean, I wouldn't mind going there if I was going to stay for the weekend or something but just for one day I will just stick to my trails here.

we have our final series race in splendora,Tx this weekend,if you get a chance 1 weekend, you should come check it out,i know it is a far drive, but the track in splendora is well worth the drive....

MX tracks... not that I know of. But there are 3 atv parks in longview. Never been to either, so don't know if they have one.

Posted by: MrTrendy1

The places in longview suck in my opinion. Unless you have a big 4x4 atv with large tires, you don't stand a chance. They are mud trails. Gator run does have the sand drags and a small mx track but it is very narrow and really isn't great. As for the other parks, Rabbit creek has a few good trails but I haven't been out there too much. Fun wheeler park is about the same as Gator Run to me.

Shilo Ridge in Alto is the best place in east texas to ride. The Ridge has all types of terrain, from sand to mud. they also have a small mx track and cross country track. The ridge has events such as sand drags wheelie contest, andmud bogs.

it was a sad day when clutch city closed down in humble. i loved that track

Posted by: MrTrendy1

Shilo Ridge sounds like Gator Run. I think it actually looks better though. Alto isn't too far from here and I just haven't gotten out there yet.

Longview area. Are there a lot of MX tracks out that way?

Posted by: MX26

Yeah dude, there's tons of tracks in the Dallas area. Some in Ft. Worth, lots in Greenville, Nocona, etc.

HondaChick, Didn't catch you or your brother. I was only there for about 30 minutes, then took off to bring my baby home.

Posted by: HondaChick

Mr Trendy there are several MX tracks in this area. Like MX26 said there is Nocona, Badlands, Caddo Point and Village Creek to name a few. They are all worth the drive!

MX26 I looked for ya but didn't see ya. Since you only stayed 30 minutes that would explain it. We tried to stay huddled in the trailer to stay warm. There was some great racing going on...you should have stayed and watched!

Yeah, that track looked so nice. I've never been there before, but the dirt made me ready to start racing again. So who's your brother??? and how old are you two.. lol
