Is anybody running 22" haulers on their 450R? If so, what gearing are you running? I am interested in all around duning over hill shooting and drags.

Thanks, -RT

im not sure about the exact gearing but i would assume -1 tooth on the front sprocket should give you the gearing your looking for.

why not just run stock gearing on 20's?

I ran 22 haulers and I used 13 tooth front sproket and a 39 rear sprocket. It work really well but you should try using a 38 rear and see how that works for your 450r.

How is your 450R modded?

I have 21X12X8 Extreme Haulers and use 13 - 39 gearing. Like this setup the best. Tires should be real close to 22's. You can also try 13 - 38 but I preferrede 13 - 39. Have Sparks pipe and filter and HRC kit. It moves !!!

I have 20' Aerospeed and run a 12t front, but we ride tight wooded trails. I never really get 5th gear opened up at all.
If your running in the desert a 12t and 22' would still give you a pretty good top speed, and lots of pulling power.

I would get both a 13t and a 12t because they are easy to change and cheap. I carry a 1/4" ratchet and sockets on my quad so I can change it on the trail if I want.

Have fun!

yeah i bought my 400ex with a 14t front, stock rear whatever that is, and took it out for one trip. even with the bike down one tooth in the front, i couldnt hit more than 3rd up the hill. so i am gonna put the 14t on the wifes bike, and get myself a 13t and see how it goes.

buddy has a 450r and i had the jump on him, but about even at the top of the hill.
