as u may have hard K&n's arent very good let debris into your engine but if you did add a K&N & take the baffle out you should rejet..i think you may still make it without...you'd have to try it to find out...your elevation plays a factor too

well i live in pennsylvania. and what do you think i will have to rejet it to. what is the stock jet in it anyway

Posted by: 450rboy

what would you do if you put a k&n on and with a outerwear

Never had a problem with mine and its been pretty dirty before

but do you think i might have to rejet it

if u run without a lid then rejet to about 170-180
otherwise no

i removed airbox lid, removed baffle, and it has a stock air filter.... right now im running a 170 main jet. its a tad rich (Plug is dark) so when i get a aftermarket filter (uni) it should be better.

Posted by: dodgeram

did you have to move the needle or pilot any, or just put the 170 main in?

Posted by: REDARMYRACER

just but an hrc kit. it's moe money but everything u need is in there, and the bike will still run well.

otherwise jus jump a main or two
although i would not know for sure.

taking out the baffel and removing the airbox lid will lean out the bike a little.

you may need to rejet, but only the main.
