I received a call today from someone at jet-hot, I had sent two pipes and two heat shields to them one from a 300ex and one from a 400ex, the guy said that he felt that the heat shield was pretty soft to jet coat but figured that if the guy sent it in it must be metal, then he told me it melted just the hooks came out of the oven, when I ask him about the other heat shield he said oh there were two. I had my pipe and heat shield on my predator done no problems, have you guy’s had problems with heat shield’s on the 400 ex or the 300 ex ?

He said he would talk to my salesman about replacing them but he does not know what the response will be.

What are your thoughts?
