400ex or 250r rear shock?

Will either of these fit a z? I want an aftermarket shock and can find them for a 400ex and 250r used easier and cheaper than a z. Will it lower it any?

measure you z shock and let us know the measurments. i know i have an r shock in my room i can measure im not sure about the 400ex i dont have one

might also want to contact a aftermarket shock builder as you will also need to know the stroke of the z shock and the honda. the 400ex and 250r have differnet rear shocks, so you need the stroke of all three. if it is different, neither shock will work

now that i think about it i dont think it will work the linkage is alot different just get you shock rebuilt or buy a new one
