Did anyone make their own number plates for hanging off their grab bar? and if someone has how did you do it

I bought mine for $4, why would I bother to spend the time to make my own?

I use to use cardboard....some tracks will make you have real numberplates though!

they want real plates becuase when it rains of it gets wet it goes away

I just get the plain white ones, number them up...vinyl stickers will last longer. Then zip tie them up accordingly and you're good to go.

I also trim them up or drill a bunch of holes in the plate to let air through too.

Looks kinda like what Maggot's set up is.

I ended up just getting a metal for sale sign, painting it black, cut if down, put the numbers on it, put to holes, and zip tied it to my grab bar, I was going to use cardboard but I remember about the rain, thanks for the help

dude. please don't zip tie a piece of metal to your quad. if that comes loose it could do some damage to somebody

i break off my plastic ones that i bolt on all the time. i go through about 5 a year. if you don't wanna buy maiers or whatever atleast go find some sort of plastic to use.

well just make 199% that it won't fall off. then when you can throw so flexable plastic ones on it. your rear plate is the one that will more than likely fall off.

well for the low budget racer... i was ice racing this winter, first race, and didnt know you needed a side number plate.. well i didnt have one of those, so i used a paper plate and electrical tape.. looked very tacky and horrible, but hey, it lasted through my race... paper plate racer..
