How much money do u have to stick into a 300ex to make it mx ready? Will I end up having enough power in the end to keep up with the yfz450 and others? I've got an 01 300ex with K&N filter, larger jets, cobra pipe, and a couple other things. Not much but is it worth hoppin this quad up or should I buy something else? I'm not goin pro, but I need more than what I've got right now.

you'd be better off buying yfz or trx450 then to dump the amount of money into a 300ex to make it even remotley close to them on the mx track. a good rider can make the 300ex fly but in all honesty its money down the drain.

i sluightly dissagree with you pappy, i think if its the only quad you have and dont have the option aof just buying another, theere are a few air cooled classes that a 3ooex can do very well in.
but you are right, your not gonna be doing yourself any favors trying to beat 450's on a 300ex

That's what I figured. I'll pry get somethign bigger if I can find a decent price. Thanks for the advice. How fast does your 300 go with the 350 kit? Is that very reliable?

with the 250 kit, wich cost a fair chunk of change, its still only as fast as a bone stock z400. i am extremely pleased with its performance- against other quads in my class,(blasters, other modded 300's, mojave's etc.) but i know were i stand and would have built up a bigger quad if i wanted to run w/ bigger quads, but i like sport class, so the 300 is a good choice
