I've asked but never got an answer..

I have decided on houser chassis components. My question is what width a-arms and offset wheels will put me around 49 or 50 inches and not over!? The houser LT's are available in +2 or +2 1/2 and i will be getting Hiper weels..thanks for the help

I think with the +2 1/2 arms you have to run 4+1 wheels to be under 50 inches wide. To get the 4+1 wheels you have to get new front hubs for the honda pattern, last I know Hiper was not making the 4+1 in yamaha pattern. With the +2 you might just be able to use standard offset wheels. I think the + 2 1/2 arms are the way to go, but will cost more with the hubs...

i have the walsh 2.5 and elkas with stock rims and razr mxs. Im 49.5 with me sitting on it. so get the plus 2s and stock offset hipers to be at 50.

I have the Houser +2-1/2 with standard offset rims and the over all dimmension is right at 50 inches give or take a 1/16th or so. You will be just fine if you want to use your stock rims instead of spending extra money on hubs and 4-1 rims.

I forgot to add that I a also using Hyper rimsa nad I am still right at 50 inches . You should have no problems!!!

The thing to think about though is you don't have to be right at 50". If you go with the +2 1/2, I would run the 4+1 wheels no matter what so it handled better.

Not of the Quad. I have some of me riding and racing. I will take a few of the Quad and post them.

Hey Dave 400ex, Why do you say it will handle better? Are you relating it to turning? I did have a few problems initialy with the Houser front end pushing a little. I made some adjustments with the front end spacers and I also added the houser tie rod holder that alows you to adjust your turning radius since then this thing carves. No problems. I also had to adjust my suspension alittle.

For some reason most people agree when you add the 4+1 wheels to a really wide setup it seems to handle/turn better like you said. It might not make a huge difference though. I got some 4+1 wheels, so I will know soon enough, but mine is setup for XC.

i have +2 laeger arms with stock offset hipers and my front end is right at 49-50 inches but no more than that

im not sure im just running there regular style front end
