What kind of oil is used in shocks (Works). It has a brake or transmission fluid smell to it.
There must be a standard shock oil sold at a reasonable price, no?

A little Google, and I answer my own question. But ofcourse, go buy "shock oil".

Pick up a pint of shock fluid. Maxima, Motorex, Silkolene and Bel-Ray all make good shock fluids. Then make sure to take your time getting all the air out of the fluid when you are bleeding the shock. And remember, when dealing with suspension, cleanliness is next to godliness"
