Just bought my first pair of boots. Having trouble changing gears on my 300EX. Can't hardly get boot below gear shifter. Is there something I can do to give me more room? Do I just have to get used to it? Thanks for the help!

Your boots will break in making it easier over time.
But you can rotate your shifter up so you can get your foot underneth it easier.

If you look where the shifter attaches to the motor, there should be some sort of adjustment to where you can take the shifter off and put it a higher angle so your boots will fit under it...word of caution though...don't raise the angle too much or you will be raising your foot completely off the footpegs in order to shift.
cheers!

Thanks for all the help. Went out and adjusted it today. Only problem is that it scrapes the side of my case now. I know I can slide the shifter out a bit to stop this, but the bolt won't tighten down unless it's in almost all the way.

Just bend the shifter out a bit.

If you bend the shifter out a bit TAKE THE DAM THING OFF FIRST!!!!! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BEND IT WHEN IT IS STILL ATTACHED TO THE SHAFT!!!!! If you do you run the possibility of BREAKING your shift shaft off and having to split your cases to fix it just like I am now as we speak for the same reason... DO NOT make the same mistake, and TAKE IT OFF first. I can not stress how important this is. Learn from my dumb *** and dont find out for yourself, it sucks trust me and is expensive.....

You should have just waited and broke in your boots. Every pair i've owned, I couldn't shift right until my boots were completly broken in. I wear size 15 boots and didn't have to change the angle of my shifter. Just wear them around for a day and you shouldn't have a problem.

hey listen to paul...i watched him break that off like it was nothing. same thing happened to me at the same track but thank god my shaft didnt break.......also be aware that there are splines on the shifter and shift shaft so when you move your shift be sure to take it off and put it back on as opposed to just turning it while it still on the quad so you dont screw up those splines...

Losen then shifter then slide it off the shaft the put it up a little bit higher so you can fit you boot underneath it easier
Or you can just deal with it till your boots break in
