I got everything apart to replace my rear wheel bearings. I m wondering is the bearing spacer supose to spin inside the carrier? It spins in mine and Im wondering if that is what destroyed my bearings.

yes it may spin... shoot a bunch of grease in there & let her rip....make sure theres no free play ion the axle though
