Does anyone know where I can get matching silver frame paint for my 400EX? I'm not interested in powder coating, I just want to get some matching spray paint to touch up the bare spots to prevent rust, and make it look nicer.

denniskirk, they have matching pj1? i guess thats the companys name, they have factory matching paint

I checked there; they had matching Honda red and white, but not silver. I think they had KTM silver though, which is strange, considering how many more 400ex's there are than any KTM.

If your just trying to prevent rust just use some thing close, I just sprayed my whole frame with a silver so it was close and won't rust.

I tried a couple, but none of them were even close. I want it to look good too, because I might be selling it or trading it in (later in the year).

Really can't go wrong with bkack. I believe the Honda red is a good match for the red plastic too, as far as the PJ1 is concerned. If you plan on spraying it with "rattle cans", you can probably go to the local hardware store and get an epoxy based gloss black. Or you may have a better selection of laquer colors. Avoid enamels!
