hey guys,
I drag raced a warrior on my 250ex, his mods are... WB E-series and WB filter and K&N jet kit. Its a 1998 yamaha warrior and i have the same mods but i have a UNI filter instead of a WB. I drag raced him and he got me off start and about mid range then i got him off top end, we raced about 1/4 mile on a dirt road.
i couldnt belive i beat him with my 250cc quad vs a 350cc quad. I thought that was kida wierd.

What do you guys think?

it's all about the rider on his quad. if you get the chance, watch an open class at any mx race. u'd be suprised, the bigest moter dosn't always get the hole shot. gearing is big too. your geared higher for more top speed. good ridin

idk about all that. 250ex's are slow, and a warrior is faster than a 300ex. and a 250ex doesnt touch a 300ex...but if you say it happend, im gonna agree with you, i wasnt there, so i'll take it as true, good win man

The key here is that it was "1/4 Mile". That is a long way for an ATV drag race. They had to both be at top speed way before the end.

So in this case it wasn't about rider ability or power so much as gearing.
