I've thought about this since I started racing (about 5 years ago).

I have never botherd to ask though.

When someone places 1st then 2nd.....and someone else finishes 2nd and then 1st....how do they decide who wins?

i think that if that does happen, that if you win the Main, that the overall goes to you.

The winner of the second Moto wins the overall for that race but typicaly for the season they get the same points for that race.

Usually who ever wins the main event gets the win. Most of the time the second moto is considered the main. But it is all up to the promoter, it comes out to whatever he or the rules say.

in gnc mx the second moto takes it, and points are awarded to who ever places higher than the other in 2nd moto.

yup i work at a track and the second moto is wieghted more than the 1st.
