Dose any one know of a shop or a person who can make recomendations for and do mod's for LTZ 400... I am not having muh luck figuring which pices will work with which other mods?

Sorry not enough info on the last poast, I am on the western slope of Colorado, Montrose. Where the air is thin, the four wheeling is great, and any motor shop is a fair drive away.

Ride in Sycamore creek and the washes around Saguaro lake. Going to Rocky Point next week. Also head to the dunes when ever I can.

CALL TC RACING!!!!!! Talk to Tom Carlson, his backup is only 2 1/2 weeks or so and he does more motor work for guys at the nationals than anyone else in the pros or any class.... He built doug gust's original Z440 motor and is involved with his motor team now....

lazarus at gthunder is a great motor builder, takes time to talk to you about what your doing with your quad and helps you decide what would be best for you. he also has the best prices in the industry and is behind quite a few gncc pro's motors, as well as my 300ex, wich is scary fast thanks to him

I'm far from a professional but I have done the research to know about what mods are available and what seem to be worth it. I know the airbox lid removal makes a HUGE difference on the z400. I rejetted with a DynoJet kit from the stock 130 to the DJ 146 when I removed the lid and threw on a prefilter screen. I had to remove the endcap to make the machine run decently. Other mods would be an aftermarket slip on or complete exhaust depending on what sort of riding you're doing.
Motor mods. There are the high compression piston and bore jobs...but if you're looking for reliability and inexpensive power, I've heard that the Hot cam intake cam (leave exhaust stock unless you're racing) and removing the base gasket on the jug and replacing it with a DRZ gasket puts you from 11.3 to 12.2 compression. With the pipe, gasket, intake cam, and rev box you're looking at around $700 to do it yourself and you're talking about 40 hp to the wheels over the stock 30-33 that most are putting out.
