trx650r for 2005?

I just got my new issue of dirtwheels and they say thay honda may possibly release a trx650r late summer of 2005. they also say that honda will release a 250 4x4 sport model late this summer. Is there any truth to this?

Well you know how honda has so many utility quads n stuff? I think maybe since they have built up there ulility line so much they are going to start working on the sport line up. IMO but who knows.

i was going to wait another year for the new 650 sport quad that I do expect honda to ocm e out with but by the time it comes out I will br gone to college or the airforce & moved on with my life so i got the 450r now instead for my last year as a kid with little to no responsibilities

They may come out with a 650 due to the monster torque. It'd be a great competitor for the ds, & raptor. However it took Honda from 1989 till 2004 to come out with a truely race ready quad again so dont hold your breath. You may just suffocate

I highly doubt it, especially with the Dirtwheels fibs lately. But by 2005, right, believe that, NOT! But if it is true, it would be sweet, but i think i would rather prefer my 450R "race ready" HRC over it, but time can only tell. . .

what is its use for? open class on atva nationals? trail riding? if its trail riding, it wont be long till atv's are banned again from idiots using cc's as bragging rights and doing something stupid.

It could happen. Honda had a 650 prototype when they were testing for the 450. Went with the 450 instead. I think that would be awesome, and a great XC machine if it was based around a 450r chassis with electric start.

im a salesman at a local dealership in birmingham alabama and ive heard nothing about either and i saw our honda rep the other day but that dont mean nothing either just letting you know im in the dark on it as well

I was thinking the samething dude, the reason sleds have such a bad rep up in Canada is because of the CC's and speed they put out, its useless, and now they are starting to bind that into quads...

I say that they put all of their time, money, and effort into making the 450r better. What good is a 650? Look at the raptor, what the hell do you use that thing for anyways.

Mabey they are making it to battle the v-force and not the raptor or the ds. That's all you see in the unlimited class in the gncc is v-force. Since were all just speculating I figured I'd throw that out there.

i dont htink its true, it would be great for the desert and dunes, as long as it doesntweigh as much as a DS650 or a predator it would be sick, i still remember the honda 3-cylinder that was an april fools joke 2 years ago in dirthwheels, it was funny because the issue after that this guy sent in his letters and was like dude im pissed i sold all 3 of my quads so i can buy this new honda, but it would be sick, as long as it is electric start and has reverse

whats there to battle?

What good is 650ccs? A hell of alot if you know how to mod it and like monster torque. I happen to know of some Raptors that'd make most people look silly.

Electric start & reverse? Here we go again. If you cant kick it then you shouldnt be ridin it

Reverse is really not needed, but I myself think Electric start is very needed for racing XC. There is no question it's the way to go for in the woods.

dude you guys hat to much on electric start and revers, is it hurting you?

think by the time you turn your bike around and kick it, i would have started it, backed up, and gone off into the dunes before you even take off

when will it end??? my local dealer says that in 2005 there will be no more street bikes over 900cc's and that in 2008, there will be no more 2 stroke bikes made. i would rather see them build these 450's maybe a little lighter and a little wider for safety, for the same reasons they are not building those high cc bikes anymore. if too many people get hurt, they will stop making places to ride and bikes to ride on. isn't 40-60 hp enough in such a small machine. let's be honest, most of us don't even use all the gears we have now unless we're drag racing. if your that hungry for power, get a top fuel dragster.

its not about the bike its about the rider, just because idiots go out and get hurt doesnt mean its the bikes falt, were you live you might not use all your gears but i have and will always use all my gears, im sure there will be street bikes over 900cc, wait what about all teh harleys and choppers with the huge 100 CI engines, are they going to stop making the huge v-twins and put litttle dinky 900cc engines, i dont think so

What is sickening is how hypocritical policies and politicians get. If they REALLY want to save peoples lives then maybe they should consider a BAN on the #1 killer of humans world wide. Of course I am talking about SMOKING. But no, let's just let things like smoking and the like get a free pass (see election dollars) and try to make the politicians look good for "saving us" from the horror that ATV's and motorcycles are on society. Honda paved suzukis way into the sport quad industry. Suzuki at this point shouldnt be recieving much respect, compared to the other Sport quad manufacturers. (suzuki does care alot more about races in the GNC series though, which i respect a ton!) But i do agree with you when you say you think the New 450suzuki will be the best and own all ***. Now that suzuki knows what they are doing, they are finnaly attempting to build there own quad from scratch. They will have time to study the honda and the yamaha to bring in the best of both worlds. This is a major plus!

But i hope im not wrong....because they may just flip a coin and use the exact frame from the yamaha or honda. That would suck, just like old days. But i doubt this will happen.

Im expecting something pretty awesome to come from suzuki this year.

its not going to be somehting extrememly fancy ya know, like everybody wants it to have an aluminum frame and lt suspension, well it probably will not have it, it will be like the others except it will hopefully be produced around them, meaning: it will look better than both of them and it will have comfortable yet great suspension it will have huge power and great gearing the frame will be strong the whole thing will be strong, fast, good looking, reliable, yet comfortable, thats what im hopping for

LT suspension and a fully aluminum frame.....NO WAY!

Id bet someone that it will have fuel injection though!

How is the z a pos ??? I would have taken my kfx against any 400ex out there and it would have killed it most anywhere and i think it would have given my 450r a run for the money...dont open yer trap if u dont have a clue....

du-du-dumarse, the Z's are da shiznit, the next best to the 450's, the will smoke whatever you are riding, besides with a 450 kit and lt suspension they will smoke anything, besides what do you ride?

the new suzuki 450 can't be to bad *** because all atv manufacturers have to have a afforadable budget for the public and have room for good aftermarket parts to be made for it.....................

(it can't cost hardly anymore than the yfz450 cost)
