im thinking about showing up to that one. i dont think they had a very big turn out for the first one though. nathan, where were you for rausch?

Posted by: GNCCer

Where were you i didn't see you the whole weekend. I am proud to say that I tore nothing up at rausch nor did I brake down. My quad was in the same shape at the end of the day as it was at the begining.

Posted by: atvchik

The turn-out at the first one wasn't too bad.
There were 16 in 4-stroke.
It's not D-11 size but not bad for an outlaw and they had a fun track!

Posted by: PF300ex

I might be there. Does anyone know what the classes are? Its kind of tough running a 300ex against all the 400's and 450's...

Posted by: GNCCer

pro
4stk
2stk
utility

If it is tight as they say it will be I don't know if a 300 will be that big of disadvantge at all.

Posted by: bradley300

got some other plans as of now, but i never know what i'm doing until the last minute, lol so i might show up, i should know for sure by 2nite

Posted by: coorsinmyc-bak

might be there, had an accident at last weeks d-11 race.havnt got parts to fix as of today.upper and lower a-arms,shock,steering stem, steering stabilizer, rim, tire, plastic.it was all worth it though, because i got a $7.00 piece of wood.

Posted by: GNCCer

Troy the question is though, IS your wireing harness still good?

Oh sure come up here and pick on us little guys.

Really though, I think you guys will have a good time. Jay ( the promoter) is a great guy and fellow racer and does a great job with these events. You should try to come to the next one on June 6th also, it will be at the Humboldt Hills track just outside Greenfield OH. That track will be almost twice as long with plenty of hillclimbs. So hope to see everyone there.

Yea, just make sure you all run Pro class, with the big dog's.
Us newbies don't need an arse whippin' GNCC style

Posted by: PF300ex

Well I am definitely going to be there and planning on going to the race next weekend at Humboldt Hills. I need to get a few more races in before I try my first GNCC's here in Ohio. I have only raced at Hocking Valley for my first two races so far and I am looking forward to a new track.

Posted by: atvchik

You'll like Humboldt if you like hill climbs and fairly tight trails.
They took the mx section out for the Outlaw on the 6th.
I think some people had troubles with it last time.

The club members are really cool there~
I ran two races at Hocking Valley this year also,
what class did you end up running?
I was in Vet class. The 4-stroke class was HUGE at both races I was at.

See u all Sunday~

Posted by: PF300ex

I ended up running 4 stroke for both races. The race on march 28th had a huge turn out... I think there was 48 quads in the 4 stroke class. I could only finish two laps before I was done for the day with stock shocks and tires. I was able to finish the whole race two weekends ago in 22nd out of 38.

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

Have you guys in that area been getting all the storms that we have the last couple days? We had like 6" of rain a couple hours ago.

Posted by: atvchik

They had some big storms down in southern Ohio last night. It didn't look pretty on the news. I live right above Columbus and we only had lightning and a few sprinkles.

PF300, good job! 3/28 was the race I rolled at and hurt my neck, I had to stop after my third lap. It was sooo nice out that day!
The track was pretty fast too. I did get my pic in the D-11 paper-that race, but I haven't seen it yet.

Posted by: GNCCer

Jeff!!!! YES BAD STORMS!!!!!!! I had to drive through water that was up on the door of my truck this morning to get to work. however where I work witch is about 30 miles north of my house hasn't got hit near as bad. I assume the track has got about the same weather as my work!

hey any of you going from around the columbus area... which is gonna be quicker taking route 23 or 33 ?

Posted by: GNCCer

jeremy I think 23 should be quicker but i don't know that for sure. I am nots sure what 50 is like from 23 to Mcarther.

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

You have your bike all ready Nate?

Either/or on taking 23 or 33 as far as which is faster,
but we think 50 into McArthur is a better road than 93.

Posted by: GNCCer

Jeff yes it is ready and loaded up.

atvchick I agree that 50 is a lot better road than 93.

Jeff what time are you guys heading up?????

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

I hope to be on the road by 7:30

Posted by: atvchik

Jeff, who all are u bringing up with you?

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

Marty (Catmostfeared) for sure, I haven't heard from Rowlrag today so not sure about him.

Posted by: atvchik

That's cool, see you all there~

Posted by: PF300ex

Well it looks like I will not be there. I have been watching the weather this morning and they are calling for severe thunderstorms this afternoon. It sucks I really wanted to race today. Oh well there is always Humbolt Hills next weekend.

Posted by: humboldt hills

Thanks to all my great new friends I made today in Mcarthur. I had a really good time. You made a bad call pf300ex the weather held off all day other than the shower before the mini race. The course was short but sweet I thought. I didn't hear any complaints. I will probably get points up tonight, but won't get the race report until tomorrow. Give me this week for pictures to be up. We got some good shots. Well I could go on but I gotta get the scores up.
Thanks again
Jay

Posted by: GNCCer

I thought the track was very fun. tight but fun!!!!!! I had several mishaps today I think I was on my top more today than i was up right!

Posted by: atvchik

Congrat's on the win Jeff!

That track was really fun, tight, but fun.
We couldn't have had better luck with the weather holding out during the race.
We got caught in a rain/hail storm on the way home.
Too bad we didn't have an open trailer-we could have had the quad's all washed up by the time we got home~

Posted by: PF300ex

That figures the rain held out since I didn't go.

Posted by: GNCCer

Congrats Scott on the 2nd in the pro class!!!!!!!

Posted by: Scott Kawi700

Thanks Nathan!!! I'm just sorry that some many people had to break for me to get it. But points are points no matter how you get them I guess.
The track was great, I thought. I was worried at first but it turned out great.
Congrats to Jeff for the win. Hope you and John made it home OK with the weather.
Good luck to everyone next weekend, wherever you dicide to go and I'll see everyone at the Wisp.

Posted by: popo

Congrats on every ones win. Chiky-poo I heard you did really well.

Sorry missed you guys, was at home nursing a puking wife and child.

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

Thanks, we made it home just before the tornato's hit!
That was a fun track, those guys did a great job. I'll be back!

That sucks, Chelsea had what ever that is going around, one day last week.

Round 3 is next Sunday @ Humboldt, even if your bikes not ready, you should come check out the track and hang with us.
You can bring your wife and kid, they have a play area with swings & slides.

Posted by: GNCCer

jeff next weeks race is about an hour or more coser to you!

Yea come on back up here. You will definately like the humboldt track. Not quite as tight but definately alot more elevation changes.
Nathan, how did the front end look when you got it home? Anything else hurt besides the bumper?

I have the most wonderful wife in the world. She works her butt off so I can stay here and try to make a good run at this. Even though she might not do a lot at the club, she is 100% responsible for its success.

Love ya mama,
Jay
Thats not to sappy for an offroad message board is it?

Posted by: Scott Kawi700

Well give her a great big thanks from us racers. I for one appreciate all that both of you do.

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

Looks like I'm bringing quite a few people up on sunday with me.

Posted by: GNCCer

That sounds great I might be bringing a couple extras along too.

Jay it looks like you might have a better turn out than you thought.

Posted by: Scott Kawi700

Good deal Jeff. When pulling in try to get a little run at the hill off the road. It gets kind of steep half way up. With that big trailer you'll just need a little momentum. It's no big deal, just an FYI.

No worries....I have a Ford

Jeff that little trailer you have shouldn't be any problem. I am just worried about my trailer

Ya, I wouldn't put the quad in the back of your truck anymore if I were you!

Posted by: humboldt hills

Just a quick heads up on the hill climb. If you are coming in on 41 north from bainbridge and pulling a trailor with a 2 wheel drive truck, go on by and turn around. It is alot easier to get a run.
We will have a 4WD John Deer tractor to get you up without tearing anything up.
See you soon.

We won't hold a little thing like that against you
j/k!!

Who are u bringing this time??
I'm trying to match faces to sign-on names.
Everyone's sooo busy at the GNCC's I never get a chance to figure out who's who from the boards.

Posted by: PF300ex

I am going to try and be there rain or shine this time! I can't believe I missed out last sunday.
