the bike was sitting idiling and just shut off. i tried to restart and now it fires but will not start. i have good spark. i check the plug after trying to start and it is wet so it appears to get gas. i removed carborator and it is clean. it does the same thing trying to drift start it. i checked the fuel flow out of tank and up to the carb it is flowing good. when i turn the screw in bottom of carb gas does run out, kinda slow but it does run out. any help would be great cause im stumped, i wanst even riding it or anything and it just stoped running. it is a honda 400ex 2002. thanks

i forgot to mention after the bike shut off if i try to start it with the choke on it makes a clicking noise in the carb.if i turn the choke off the noise goes away. you can also feel the clicking in the thumb throttle as well.

take the main jet out of your carb and get somthing reele small to put threw it and make sure it is clean. that could be your problem if it is clogged.

tried that...put into more than 40 hours of work into it just tring to see what it was

was the plug actually sparking or was it just wet? did you hold it up against the case or something metal? did you make sure you didn't have too much oil in it? if the plug is wet it might mean that the plug is not sparking since the gas is not burned. if there's gas and a spark it's going to ignite...

hey buzz make sure that the carb boots are tight around the carb, make sure there are no leakes between the carb and the engine in the snorkle, Where in MD are you from?

TIMING CHAIN?

do a leak down on it, sounds like a valve not seating.
