well a few days ago i noticed that a bolt in my head was loose and it would not tighten. Tonight i pulled off the gas tank to see if the bolt broke and i seen that it was stripped inside the head what is the best way to fix that? can i do it myself or should i have some shop do it?

coil it . my pops and i had to coil a couple of mine. find the measurement and go to a hardware store. they';ll know what your talking about

it's called a helicoil insert bring the bolt with you and 25$ just to be safe. the kit includes a tap an insert tool the coils and i think a drill. if you can drill and tap a straight hole you'r all set good luck

Do you have the dimension of the helicoil and drill size. I have just stripped the no 7 bolt as well looks like a common problem on the TRX400ex.
What are you using as a replacement bolt high tensile ?
