when everyones talking about practicing in a foam pit with a quad, how does that work? i know what a foam pit is, but when you land in it how do you get your fourwheeler out? a crane?

Posted by: 400ex_drummer

as far as i know a foam pit consists of foam blocks, and if u want a decent landing i suspect a lot of them. i think that the pits would be a hole in the ground with a slant on one of the sides so that you can get out. its a pretty crazy idea havin one of these in the first place, never mind training to do a backflip with a foampit.

.

dont even waste time building one until you plan on pulling a backflip...you can still get hurt even tho its foam..., yes alot of people with bikes use a crane to get there bike out, the metal mulisha and metz old foam pit used furniture foam scrap and stuff, looked like spahgetti

if i was in a foam pit that was on fire i would be out of there in an blink of an eye!!

Posted by: bignorm

wel to get ur my quad out i would prolly use my excavator or modify the forks on my skid loader so it would be extended and pull it out

it would probaly cost a ton to buy enough foam thats fire retardent

Posted by: Tommy 17

i remmeber pastrana sayin it cost 1$ a block and he needed 40,000 or 60,000 blocks...

thats 40,000$ to 60,000$ just in foam

Posted by: bignorm

wow mucho denaro

i dunno i have an idea i think if i build one i might just spray a light layer of water over it.. but that would prolly smell after a while.

i dont think it would hurt that much landing in a foam pit but it would hurt if u landed on the quad... or it landed on u.

yes it is a pain in the *** climbing out and it is very tiring especially in the summer when its hot i just wanna sit down and take a break lol

Posted by: bignorm

ive seen people on bmx bikes put matts over the foam in the place where they think there gonna land and they land in those so u dont go into the foam as far and u still have a nice cushy landing. maybe an idea

-josh

Posted by: Wired

if you guys think landing into a foam pit on a quad is like landing on air you gotta nother thing coming. remember a quad isnt narrow like a bike... it still hurts! lmao trust me, just ask the twig and berries

yeah i know. but some pits would be worse than others kinda depends on how tough the foam is and how big the blocks are. but yeah it would still hurt.. whos foam pit did u jump into?

-josh

Posted by: Wired

a private pit here in irvine, ca.

Posted by: bignorm

any chance of me sneeking in? lol
yeah right u guys would prolly shoot me
-josh

Posted by: Wired

well so far the only guys been able to use it were nate adams, jimmy mcguire and myself besides the 3 guys that built it. we're having a tough time getting the rest of the squad in the way it is

Posted by: ramp rida 55

yea i havent heard much of anything of the bsquad lately except for the flip and crusty tour. i need an update on sheldon august and bemis

Posted by: Wired

August is still riding with us and signed on with the bombsquad for 04'. Ryan and Sheldon... havent talked to Sheldon since last years riot and Ryan i've talked to a few times but have no idea what he'd been up to lately.
