Just wanted to let you know what some of the prizes are at this week's race in addition to the plaques & goody bags. (Also being added to the website):

Winner of each class gets: 1. 1- $10.00 gift certificate to Kin Folks - a local restaurant that is awesome! 2. 1- $5.00 ride at Slideways Karting Center in Knoxville.

Then we will drawing two classes out of a hat and the winner of those two classes will win a one night stay at Comfort Inn in Oskaloosa (probably for Saturday night) for the Bussey Race. If you win and do not plan on attending the Bussey race, please let us know so we can draw another class. They were gracious enough to offer us two rooms and we wouldn't want them to go to waste. : )

We are also working on an Iron Man Contest. With a name being drawn out of the hat of all those that have raced all seven races at the banquet for a cool prize.

: )

Has it been raining up there? It rained here yesterday about all day and is raining again this morning. Low tonight here is suppose to be 38 and tomorrow 65 with a breeze. We are probably about hour and a half 2 hours from Brooks. I know they got rain one day last week when we didn't.
Tracy said they hoped to have a bonfire going tonight so maybe we can stay warm.

Posted by: Shawn H

I dont know about brooks having any rain, but here in Minneapolis its rained 3 maybe 4 days out of this week.

I would like to see some of these IOWA boy's bring home some cash in the pro class, this is getting old watching all of these missiouri boy's taking all the cash and going home . Being from Iowa my son is taking care of the JR. class. He has won the first 2. There also seemed to be more mishaps at this race than the first one. Hope everyone is o.k.

There were so many good shots to choose from and this is just the beginning since your woman has the biggest wood around your house.

I feel his pain.
My luck didn't stop after the race...Went riding today after changing tires and a kid on a utility was following us and the kid in front of me stopped and the one behind was looking down and demolished my grab bar.
I think someone was telling me I should have stayed home this weekend.

Michaels brakes went out on the first lap. He came in thinking he needed fluid but it wasn't that. He didn't have any pads left by and that rotor was so hot it was blue when he finished. Chris said way to go!!!

He did pretty darn good for no brakes!! That makes me feel worse
I hit my head on a tree and wound up with my face in the dirt then got a flat tire and went to last real quick.
But I finally beat Zac fair and square! Would have liked to do it with him still moving though.

Tell Chris to awnser that phone I have tryed to call a few times
And felt really stupid running around in circles going can you hear me now? like that stupid commercial then figuring out it was the voice mail......But I fell for it every time. Thats pretty good.

Mike burrows GETTIN HER DONE!!! Again Good job Mike on 2 1st place wins in the A class.

Posted by: Johnny & Monica

Zack Johnnson was running hard in 4th I believe. In the A class on his new yfz450.After moving up from the B class an his 400ex.Ending up with a twisted lower A-arm.He`ll get them next time.Way to go Zack!!!!!!

You should of came in to pit so dad (aaron) who is everybodies pit man could of changed that tire for you. He helped alot of people that day that we didn't even know.
We have the best pit crew.
Yea Zac was doing his best. He bent both of his tye rods. They are going to try to fix them at the shop tomorrow.
I hate that message on Chris phone. I do the same thing.

You are right. It was the A-arms and not the tye rods. That is how much mom knows. Ha. Oh well I am just suppose to roll out the money and get them there then wash the dirty clothes. Right? But I love it anyways.

I was absolutely amazed when I seen this post, you guys here at EX Riders do a GREAT job of covering all the races!!!
We (FD Racing) had a great time and we took 1st and 2nd in the Utility class on the Prairies, 1st in the womens class on a 300EX, and our first time racer in the B class took 10th on the V Force! Then to top the day off I got a call from Mickey Dunlap after the races and he told me my 785 FST Prairie being ridden by Tommy Farr had won the modified utility class in the GNCC! That day couldn't have been much better! I hope to see you all at the Bluff Creek race!

I'm gonna remember that next time. But make sure he knows that I take priority because everyone else is fast enough to catch up from behind, so I need all the help I can get.

Nice to see you guys on the site. Congrats on all the bikes finishing this time with no thousand dollar mishaps Your guys really fly on those prairies! I'm gonna make sure to keep parking beside you guys so some of that winning might rub off on me!

Just to add for everyone else that doesn't know These guys put on the 12 hours of atv of america race And I for one want to say I appreciate the hard work they did on the track and had a blast riding it and really hope to ride it again next year if they still put it on. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Kevin

Is it going to be bigger longer cource? An thumps up for you guys at brooks you guys really get those utility quads a flying.

Posted by: wolvee

Hope everybody had a good time at brooks. I really had a good time being able to talk with you a little more than the first race. Really looking forward to bussey. The series is going well with riders from all over(Ia,Ne, Mn,Wi,Ill,Mo,Ks,even Tx was represented at brooks)WOW!!! The kids classes are really fun to watch, we really have some good riders coming up. We are really working hard on some things for the bussey race, hope to be able to pass it on real soon.(pretty cool!!) Who can stop the gang from mo, they are bad fast(guys/gals/kids) I'am really impressed, the ATVers got their own series finally and you are leaving a great impression everywere we go(GREAT JOB!!) That is what will help our sport grow.

Posted by: Prairiewrench

We will have approximately 200 acres to work with for the 12 hour this year but this site will be a temporary place for this year, if all goes according to plan we will have 1000 plus acres to play with next year!

The guys that ride the Prairies have been running on our practice track for months now getting ready for the harescramble races, I even built them a MX section with a 50FT table top which they are now just about clearing. This is all leading to the big race at the end of the year, we want to win that 12 hour at least one time!!

I agree with ya. This is a great series and we are so thankful to have a new place to ride and to get the respect that the quad people deserve. Everyone has been so kind to our family and to all that we bring along to ride. Thanks Andy and Tracy for having faith in the quads to give us a chance to have a place to keep our families together on the weekends and to have somethng to do that we enjoy so much. Thanks to all that help and work so hard on the tracks.
And we do love the surprises that you hand out.

womens leader after the 1st turn

(pic was included)

I just now found this thread on the race at Brooks. The coverage is awesome, and the amount of response on here shows everyone just how much of a following this series is getting. I do feel obligated to one special person to make a bit of a correction. 14 some odd pages back there was a quote and a picture that was supposed to be showing the leader out of the first turn. After reviewing our videotape several times, the judges declared the kfx in the picture to be in second place. First place was already in the woods and had been traveling at such a warp speed the camera did not detect her. Only under close review did we even see Angela pass by the first turn! Thanks for reading!

I really appreciate seeing all of the pictures on here. Since I also ride a little bit, I usually am in the woods too far to see my stunning wife take off!

By the way, it is a good thing they give me such a big head start. Otherwise, I fear she might have beat me at Brooks!!!

Posted by: wolvee

Yes, Angela did a great job. I think all the women in the series are doing a very awesome job. I would not want to race any of them head to head. I would challenge any women out there to come and race these gals!

The best thing about the last message is that Angela and her husband are both racing in the series.

We are seeing this working as we hoped it would. Families traveling, racing & having fun spending time together. It is great to see John, Taylor, Chance (father, daughter & son) and Michael & Bradley (brothers) Jeff & Barry (brothers), Jake & Chad (67 yr young grandfather & grandson) (WOW) Just to name a few, but I know there are many more familes racing together. You all deserve a big thumbs up!

We are looking forward to the Bussey race. The series will be breaking new ground again. There hasn't been any kind of race at the park in a long time. And this will be the first ATV race at Bluff Creek. With your support, the ATVs are making a statement. Don't miss your chance to be a part of the first race at Bluff Creek.
