Adjusting clutch on 95 300ex

I'm pretty sure my clutch needs to be tightened, i could probably do this without asking anybody but i like to know what i'm doin for sure when i do something on my quad. i was wondering does anybody know how to adjust the clutch cable, which way do i twist etc.

On the clutch perch, turning clockwise (into perch) = more freeplay, counter clockwise = less, or tightens cable. On the motor bracket, looking from the clutch side, it would be the same.
