i have a stock carb, and cylinder with porting(dont know for wut), FMF pipe n scilencer, foam filter.
if anyone could give me some insite on wut your R had...
what was the jetting on the stock carb?
what ratio was ur fuel?
what # plug did you run?
my problem is that my R is running to rich on a 36:1 ratio 145 main jet, and as of now a BR8ES plug. im gonna try a BR&ES to see if a hotter one helps at all.

if its running rich then re-jet it. jetting will not be the same for everyone. its affected by many things. temp, elev, etc. do a plug chop and adjust your jetting pretty simple.

You may have a problem with wear on the float needle and seat causing it to run rich regardless of jetting changes. As old as that carb is you would be wise to get a new/newer one as the technology has improved since 1986. Keihin Airstrykers or the Mikuni TMX models in 36mm would be a good upgrade...

i put the BR7ES in it and it not running rich anymore i think i will increase the jetting a bit more tho just to b safe.
a new carb? i would love to lol and a pipe/scilencer, a-arms, shocks, a whole new quad... you know the usual stuff. lol
