I can see both sides of the argument, I live very close to Raceway park. when the wind is right I can can hear the dirtbikes, the funny cars and such sound like they are in my backyard. when I first moved here it was alot worse, but all the houses going up forced them the reschedule their events and between the traffic of the auction and raceway make it almost impossible to get out of my house. BUT WHEN WE MOVED HERE WE KNEW IT WAS THERE AND DIDN'T PLAY IGNORANT TO IT, like many of these new yorkers who move down here do. The people that are *****ing are probably people who bought new homes in the area. Do your homework BEFORE you buy a house, don't buy a house then ***** about something that has been there for 20+ years. people complain about everything and unfortunitly our sport and obvous annonces are the first target. In the local paper their is atleast one complaint about the traffic, and people who want raceway park and the auction closed, because of the traffic and noise. Notice how in areas of jackson, manchester, forked river, etc where people have been riding for 20+ years, how now the cops are around. Whats happening is, the yuppies hear the dritbike and occasionally one or two end up in the trall that leads to their backyard and they call the cops, HELLO, DID YOU LOOK AT THE SUROUNDING AREA BEFORE YOU MOVED THERE AND SEE ALL THE TRAILS ALONG SIDE THE ROADS AND SUCH. Yes, raceway park can be annoying at times, I can see why people want it closed, and at times I was cursing the place, but when the petition went around to close the place I told them to get a life and deal with it, it was here before these houses were on the drawing board. I don't know how long uxbridge was around, but I can gaurantee you it was before the houses that the complaining people live in were built. One day somebody will get their way with raceway park, but can't seing it being soon, Old Bridge Twp. refuses to close it.

englishtown generates WAY to much revenue and taxes to close it....now shutting down the tracks may happen at some point if it gets bad..but the whole facility will never close.
