and go look down pro row at a gncc... every quad but yokely has a exriders.com sticker on it!!! also they usually mention exriders.com on the podium of the race... i know balance, jeff, traci all said exriders.com

at a national a few weeks back, i had a pro rider tell me he is here all the time and posts under an assumed name because another website made him sign a contract to be exclusive to that website. thats pretty crappy if you ask me. what a way to keep a rider from being noticed by sponsors and fans. bad for the sport IMO. limiting a persons freedom because you dont want them seen on another website is pretty lame. id tell him to stick the contract sideways up his ***.

I can see a contract about not ADVERTISING a competing site, like not having stickers on your quad, not mentioning them on a podium, ect.

However, to restrict access, and restrict somebody from promoting THEMSELVES, on any forum they choose? That's just wrong.

i geuss next will be the part in a contract that says they cant give interviews or allow pictures to be taken from certain magazines..LMAO

i reckon a magazine or website could not promote those riders if they wanted to, but IMO its all about showing the love of the sport and the talent of the riders. its sad, the only one getting hurt is the rider, loss of promotion and exposure, loss of possible sponsorships and the dollars that may involve. i sure hope the riders take that into consideration before signing on with something like that. getting recognized and promoted is invaluable, and limiting yourself to one segment is like shooting yourself in the foot.

ofcourse, don king has been doing it for years

funny he is the only one getting loaded off of it while his "promotee's" keep going to jail and to bankruptcy court
