WEll we went racing last night (flattrack) @ my son DJ's favorite track(Rainier) & all was going good even little man was racing!!! Trevor ran in the 80-90 mod quad on his LEM Condor 50

it ws just him & another kid, he was actually running the peewee but they put him w/ that kid since he was the only one there. He did really well for his 1st real flattrack on a big clay oval w/ that little quad he had it singing all the way around the track LOL anyway he ended up w/ a 1st place trophy

so he was very happy!! Now as for DJ he ran his heat race & got 2nd then on the main he got the holeshot & was in 1st place & on the 2nd lap of 8 a kid & him got tangled in the 1st turn & DJ's quad high sided & went flippin & sent him about 10' in the air like a rag doll & he landed HARD on his back, he was knocked out for a few seconds & when I got there he was kicking & yelling for them to take his helmet off cuz he couldn't breathe!!!! They finally took it off & he got his breath, they checked him out in the ambulance & figured out he was OK, we figured that when we seen him kicking!! He got some nice road rash on his back & arm a sore wrist, & his NEW helmet(Thank God) got scuffed up, he was more bummed about that than anything

but I know if he wouldn't of been wearing the new one (HJC cs-x2) & his old Vega it would of came off cuz the strap was screwed up(he was mad @ me for making him use his BD $$ for it at 1st but not now) Sioooo once again THANK GOD for safety gear!!!! He's a little sore today but he's young

his quad didn't take too much damage, right rear tire came off the bead, steering stem may have tweeked some, we still need to put it on blocks & check the axle though. BTW he runs those screw on wheel spacers & they didn't bend or tweek AT ALL & it came down HARD on the right side!!! It was good racing though I'll post some pics of the track later & lil man w/ his trophy

My brother rode a HOnda CRF450 bike & he rocked!!! He fell in love w/ the bike LOL, he has a YZF250, but anyway he got 3rd in heat & 1st in his main WHOOO HOO!!! NO I didn't race quad still isn't done

I wouldn't of ran my main anyway after the crash so dint' waste any $$

I'm kind of thinking of taking it easy & just doing a few this summer & focusing on both boys so we'll see.

Thanks everyone!! Yeha definetly something I dont' wanna make a habit of seeing

Hell I told the paramedic if the kids OK I think Mom needs something..........oxygen whatever LOL I haven't ran that hard & fast for a long time I thought I was gonna fall flat on my face!! Those kids were hauling ***, he was in 5-6th pinned

Im sooooo relieved to hear hes ok!!! Yes...Thank God for the Gear we have today......

Glad to hear the Wee one done so well!!!!!! Wish I could have said the same fofr myself this past wk end........

Im sore today too!!! Im just glad I didnt break any bones...lol.....Tell the Boys I said to be safe and have a good year racing..........

theres your reason, seems theres always a crash right around the corner for someoen whos got a new helemet, which sucks cause I'm due for a new one
