I have seen the Quad Tech carbon fiber hoods for $165 bucks, does anyone know if someone makes a plastic of less expensive version?

http://www.carbonmanatv.com/ has a lesser expensive plastic I believe. Am told is poor fit quality though.

yep, it does fit better then any hood (besides a 250r) ive installed. it really burns my arse that they can get $170 for these hoods tho...talk about bending over

I got the Cabonman plastic hood yesterday, I am not totally impressed. I have not installed it, but its pretty rough around the edges, very thin, and missing one og the clips to attach it.
Seems like par for the course....

I put one on about 2 weeks ago. It has a built in scoop with chrome screen built in looks pretty sweet. I got the plastic one for $85.00 directly from carbonman. Yes the fit is not like that of the carbon fiber hood. The front of the hood has to snap outside the red side shrouds not like that of a quadtech hood which fits inside nice and neet. Dont look bad but I would prefer it fit inside the side panels. You could cut them up a little to make them fit possible but did not want to try it. The other thing is I ordered a black plastic one and it came a flat dull black, WD-40 makes it shine but it would be nice to have a little better shiney plastic. All in all it will work for $85 rather than 175 which like we all know they got us by the balls on that!!!!!!
