Hey I own a 2002 400 ex. Everytime i start it up for the first time before i go out riding, the starter makes a clicking noise. Once i put it off the choke when its warmed up it doesnt click anymore when at the idle position! I don't know why it is doign this. Also if i don't rev the throttle ont he start up it clicks and conks out. Can somone help me?

mine does it too. i think all of them do that. if it does it while it is warmed up and at high rpm's then u might have a problem. other than that nothing to worry about.

ya i wouldnt worry about it. its when it doesnt stop is when something should be done about it
