i have a work connection perch on my 450r. it has the hot start lever on it (thumb), i was wondering if any has messed with this lever. i am having a hard time getting the cable to come back after you push it. it is like it has not recoil on it.

i need some help fixing this problem.

make sure the cable isn't looped

you will probally need the cr450 cable, mine dosent come back even with the stock cr450 perch. there is no way for it to hold in there since the rubber is the spring.

yea i understand that. thats my problem. so you think the crf450 cable would solve my problem?

it should. i looked at the 2 one day at the dealership and i think it would work.

bigz I think I remember reading somewhere that baldwin has the cable to fix that problem.

yea i called mark and he said he had the cable. i am not sure what the difference is but he has the cable. it was $28. it also works with the stock carb. if you modify your carb you need a different one.

i just wanted let everyone know that i got that cable from mark and it works nice. it fixed my problem. the hot start lever comes back every time. the only bad part about putting the cable on was having to remove all the plastics and gas tank but that only takes about an half an hour to an hour job.

i had to take the air box lose so i could get the carb out. i had the cable changed and the bike back together within 2 hours.
