Alot of the jumps where i ride have very steep faces. I cant seem to find the right position to hit the jump with out my quad wanting to kick forward or go back. Can someone please give me tips on how to take these steep face jumps????? Thanks in advance.

Give me an IM if u wanna talk HONDA 450R : WOracing19

just takes practice you have to learn it yourself really no one can tell you how to hit it properly except an instructor , where about in ny is hilton

it really depends on how u use the gas takin off and after while in the air,i usually run up and bug it while goin all the way up the steep jumps and if i balance to for back and my front end comes up i quicky pull the clutch and tap the brake and if the front starts to nose dive i quickly hit the gas to bring it and balance back out, hope it helps but u should really prac these to things before just trin the first time find a some jump and pull the clutch and then tap the back brake

hold the throttle steady and hit the jump see if that helps

not if hes not use to preloading, it would probaly kick him over the bars...

get on the gas when u take off because even if u go nose high its better than landing nose first . what u need to do is learn how to control ur quad in the air and if ur front goes up lean foward over the bars its another way to get ur nose down

have fun ad be safe

I have gotten much better in controling my quad in the air now....it is so light compared to my ex i am not worried about the takeoffs anymore, i just had to get used to the way the 450r jumps....(which is basically level all the time), this 1 jump on my track used to kick me off center, but the 450r is very forgiving and was easy to correct this problem while i was still in the air

also just another thing for everybody...when your front goes up..back break hard...when your front goes down..gas hard..and just try to work it around...bigger jumps are easier to control then smaller

What about front brake....i use it when my nose gets high and it works

wow never used my front brakes. my back ones control everything, that is also the first time i heard someone say they use their front brakes.

learn to shift your weight in the air it will help lots

Posted by: JRDrider22

agree with that...especially if the bike goes sideways

wow seriously.....i know that in huevos 6 John Natalie uses his front brake on a couple jumps at raush i love huevos

but 1 thing u cant hold it or you will go over the bars....lol just tap it, cuz its really sensitive

well on jumps with a steep face sometimes its better to let off right at the end, because you want your nose to drop down level but you gotta figure out how much throttle you need so you dont flip
