They told me the pipe is mainly midrange. Same design from the Crf. Make about 5-6 hp. $525 full system. 4-8000 rpm range boost. Looks exactly like the yfz pipe on the website. Sounds pretty cool. Think I will go HMF BB pipe.

Try the new Eddie sanders racing pipe. My buddie just put one on his 450 and it kicks butt.. They are on the web. They build the absolute best 250R components. I am sure the 450 stuff is killer. The fit and finish is excellent.

/\/\/\ Good choice friend. My sponsor just got done putting a full TC on with some K&N.....LOL....let's just say he was grinning from ear to ear!
What a mean bark she throws out too!

Tom usually isn't one to mess with dyno numbers. He is more of a, go ride it on the track and see how it works type of builder. I have his pipe on my 400, and it is very impressive. With all the new sound rules coming out though something will have to be done to it!

That whole sound rule mumbo jumbo was never true, never gonna happen.

The only place i have heard about sound rules was in the dunes

GNCC is now going to enforce a 104 limit at the races.
Posted by: PEPwalshZ440
yea but for MX there is none...and a TC pipe is a MX pipe for sure
Posted by: WOracing
What decibal does the TC pipe put out??
Posted by: thomez
The amount that hurts your ears just about... I would say idle is 104 or so and in the upper RPM's it will approach 115 at least. They are LOUD.

Oh..........does TC make a quiet kit for their pipes??
Posted by: thomez
The canister is a Supertrapp 4" race series which you can buy a closed end cap and disks for - I have sold this system for a Cannondale and it is nice to be able to tune it quietly with the exhaust closed. You can acquire the disks and the endcaps seperately at www.summitracing.com . If you want this pipe for MX but want to quiet it down in the woods or trails this is the way to go. You can bottle it up for those occasions but you will probably need to change the jetting appropriately so that it doesn't run too fat. Good luck. Let me know if you need part #'s I have them around here somewhere. Just make sure you are looking for the 4" race series accessories for the Supertrapp canisters.

Anyone know if TC includes jets with there pipe?
Also, any places to order online or am i going to have to wait til monday?

I'm not for sure how loud the pipe is, but it's much louder then 104 I know that for sure. I asked Tom about a quiet core once, he just kind of laughed and said nope, it's a racing pipe, no core. I have like 12 discs and a closed end cap, when I put them on I did not notice the pipe being much quieter. Not a pipe to get if you are worried about loudness.

The less disks you use the quieter it will get, it just won't flow as well. It can be made dual purpose but it really is an MX pipe... run 8 disks and jet down and you can ride it in the woods no problem though. He should inform his customers what you can do with the disk systems and he would sell more pipes. I know because it is a big selling point for a similar system I have sold for the Cannondales.
