hey guys, i was wondering how to burn out on a 400 ex, i always try to and never happens but if you guys can help me that would be kool thanks.

front brake + gas = burnout

Posted by: yam450_53

how is that even a trick. get onto a 400ex, start it up, pull in the clutch, put it in first gear still holding the clutch, pull in the front brake lever(the little lever to the right), now your front wheels should be locked up, push in the little lever on your right hand side(known as the thumb throttle), now your engine should be reving, than let go of the clutch and your rear wheels will spin but your front wheels won't.
It is too damn easy

lean foward also, put all your weight up front.

it also helps if you have a lttile bit of water on the asphalt to break the traction.

ive herd of people putting bleech on your tires befor this (i believe some cars do this to cause the excessive amount of smoke) but i wouldnt recondmend it, or waste my time..

anyways, goodluck!

hey Nausty give him a break
part of the reasons to have the forums are so people can get information

lmao,

yo can go in some dirt and just nail the gas im sure the tires will spin up or gravle pebbles on the side of the road

Posted by: Juggalo

i don't think the kid deserves a break. the way i look at it is if you can't figure out how to do a burnout you shouldn't be riding a high performance 400cc machine.

And Juggalo

Why you gota flame like that? This site is for people to learn and ask questions. Maybe some people are not as intellegent and have the intellect as you but are trying to acheive to your level of understanding when in come to burning of the tires. SO maybe in the future you should help the guy out and leave it at that. I feel you should even apologize.

I say give em a break. I don't think 400ex's are quite high performance any more, my 12 year old sister can ride mine fine, and I doubt she knows how to do a burnout! maybe he just started riding, or never paid attention to anyone doing a burn out!

Posted by: Nausty

I admit the comment wasn't needed but still, if you don't know how to do a burnout, chances are you shouldn't be doing one.

Frankly I don't even give a ****.

These forums are going to ****, I use to come here all the time but is all it is anymore are the same repeat posts where is all that is needed is a simple search to find information on most questions. To top it all of so many of you guys always have to be politically correct and argue about stupid **** forever which is totally pointless.

Also if you have nerfs put one foot on front of them and almost all the rest of yer wieght on the handle bars.

Posted by: WOracing

i still say let us know when you will be needing tires

Yeah, i agree with you on that, this site has changed so much. You remember the days when there was practically no flaming?? i sure do...and those were the good days. Theres not a whole lot of ppl that have been on here for a long time, and havent been banned, if sumone gets banned, they just register as another name and get back on a cause more trouble!

BTW, wut ever happened to jeff and his girlfriend

Man how hard can it be to do a burnout on a 400 ex wat the hell
a 400ex is just like a 350 raptor there is really no difference and you should have the common sence to no how to do burn out...

Posted by: Mxjunkie

Burnouts arent really important...Though they are fun when you have new tires and you want to kill the old ones

Posted by: xr50layke

maybe he just nails it and expects to do a burnout

your forgetting some steps

my friend rides an xr100 and i cant believe how newbie he is at riding. when i first met him, i rode a nice long 2nd gear wheelie on his bike, powerslide back into my driveway etc, and hes like wow your a dare devil lol, but hey, now hes progressed and we got him jumping a jump i made
