Is anyone breaking Lower shock mounts?

Myself and a riding buddy broke the welds on the lower shock mounts on our 2001 400ex's. Anyone else see this happen? Ours happened about 3 weeks apart.

It happend to my buddies 01 too. They seem like they rust out around the weld.

The good thing is Honda's parts are cheap (compared to other brands).

i saw one completly sheared off at the FL GNCC last year, and when i had a set of 400ex a-arms on my 300, one mount was cracked

Mine off my 2000 almost came off, but i caught it quick enough and got it welded. It was actually tearing the metal that the mounts are welded too.

upper shock mounts are strong.....bummer about the frame
