hey guys i was just looking for some feedback from some people who had 450r's and yfz's. I rode a raptor this weekend and i really liked that it had a lot more power tham my 400ex, but i was wondering where the power of the 450r compared with the raptor and the yfz. Im gonna either get a 450r or a yfz so let me know how the power compares to the raptor. Thanks a lot guys, Shaun

Me, Me --- I know the answer!

Just kidding - the power of the YFZ and 450R is 100%, totally and completely different than the raptor -- for the better.

The Raptor develops OK power, it's very torquey, but not the greatest for aggressive riding, heck, even my 400EX feels like a 2 stroke compared to a stock or piped Raptor.

The 450R and YFZ have more of a explosive type power that's good for an aggressive rider.

Now, that doesn't mean the Raptor isn't powerful, the way it deveops power just isn't the greatest...

Handling wise there is no comparison, the Raptor isn't even close.

i love the 450 r and the yfz i would not recomend getting the raptor...

get one of the first two i hop eyou get the 450r so i can beat you when i see you with my yfz

Im kind of in the same situation as you with these three bikes. I would love to own either a yfz or a 450r but the i love riding the raptor. Ive pretty much made up my mind though that for strictly duning im going to go with the raptor and put a LT setup on it and at least a +4 swinger and of course pipe and cam it.

If you like riding a Raptor - do yourself a serious favor and ride a 450R or YFZ before you make the plunge --- you won't look back and you'll wonder why you ever even considered the Raptor in the first place.

For duning the power delivery and handling of the YFZ and 450R are FAR superior to the Raptor. If all you're concerned about is drag racing and you don't mind pouring a few grand into the engine - then the Raptor can ultimately be made faster.

However, if that's what you're interested in, you should really consider a Banshee...

Hey thanks guys for all the input. Ive decided that im gonna get the 450R. It sounds like a good overall package for me because im a big guy and im only like a C to B class rider so it shouldnt matter too much. Thanks again guys. Shaun
