http://www.unitedoffroadracing.com/2004schedule.php there is a race on the 18th but it doesnt say where~ anyone know?

Posted by: foxracingpredat

ya if you call Bill @ (815) 778-3641, it should go staraight to his message machine were it says the track will be picked depending on the weather.
If the weather is good with no rain it will be held just north of Morrison, IL and if the the weather sucks and rains that it will be held in Prophetstown, IL. The two tracks are only about 10-15 minutes from eachother but Bill likes to use the Prophetstown track for the early and rainy (bad weather) races because it is a sandy track and it handles the abuse easier. He also doesn't want the Morrison track to get all ripped up because it holds two OMA National races later in the year. Keep checking the message machine and website for info!

It looks like they took out Millville, Mn

Posted by: atvchik

That's what I've been doing, local stuff & districts.
They are sooo much fun!
Racing does take a bite out of the bank account though, especially for two.

Good luck on the job hunting!!

us to good luck you need anything you know all you have to do is ask

Posted by: Fred55

The Morrison track sucked...

Posted by: foxracingpredat

ya only becuz u crashed secong lap! just kidding tom. actully the track had some cool parts but it was pretty rough and had a lot of unsafe parts (the bridges!).. i was running 4th in B class until i burried my predator in a mudhole on the 4th lap and it took me around 5 minutes to get it out. o well i still finished 8th in B out of like 25 or 30. I will try to post some pics tomm. Anyone else go?

Posted by: Fred55

those bridges were totally unsafe, and you didnt have any real passing places besides the feild...I didnt like how there was really only one path to go about 80% of the race. and when i did wreck..they didnt even have a medical staff there to check me out

the thumbs are doing slightly better tho

Posted by: parkers30

I raced the Morrison race, got sixth in C, it was my first race ever, the track was kinda rough, and the bridges weren't too safe but added a new challenge. the kid in front of me on the the 3rd or 4th lap drove right off the bridge after the MX track, it was kinda funny to watch but I bet it hurt

Posted by: foxracingpredat

geezz u didnt know anyone fell off!!!what were hey riding? i was a black predator that would barely fit across the bridges! check back here by this weekend and ill put some pics up from the race. parkers30 what were you riding?

Posted by: parkers30

I ride a red '00 400ex, black hand guards, I started way on the right, I just didnt really look at the bridges and shot across them, I almost alway upshifted into second across the long, high bridge, I could have passed people on the bridge if it was wider, the kid that fell off was on a red ex too, don't remember much else about he started right by me though

Posted by: parkers30

oh yeah if you were around when they anoouced how everyone finished, I was the kid who Gussy was talking to about my blisters, I came with my buddy who raced Pro, for all I know I may have talked to you

i was switching off between 3rd and 4th for the first four laps and burried my quad in a mudhole on lap 5, which caused my about 5 minutes of pushing and pulling.

Posted by: parkers30

well foxracingpredator how did it go? I didnt go and I dont think my buddy went either, too nasty out

Posted by: foxracingpredat

it was a crazy race!! the weather was perfect all morning and the track looked sweet with a huge motocross section. then suddenly at 2p.m. about 30 minutes before the quads started it started to downpour rain and hail. It was crazy! The whole track became a terrible mess and i would bet only half the riders actully finished the race! Everywhere you went there were bottlenecks and people stuck and crahsed. The whole track was like trying to ride on ice and it was almost impossible not to nail a ton of trees in the narrow woods section. I have some pretty cool footage on my helmet cam but my dad wasn't really able to get any pics becuase he was helping push and pull people out of things and it was so muddy and rainy it would have wrecked the camera. Anyway out of the holeshot in Quad B i got fifth and passed 3 guys on the motocross track so I was second going into the woods( it was a long MX track) then right away when i got in the woods the leader crahsed and there was a huge bottleneck from the +30 guys and we had to help them get all untangled so we could actully move anywhere. once we finally got going (well i wouldnt really call it going cuz there was a crash almost every 30 seconds and I hit my fair share of trees! . Anyway i was running between 1st through 4th the whole race and on the last lap(5th lap) i was in 4th and was able to find a good line around the leaders who were stuck in a tough section, and the line took me right around them and i just rode careful the rest of the lap without hitting any trees and took down the Quad B class win. It's my first win and it felt great to finish that nasty race with a win!!
here's some of the mud after the race! check out my footpegs, i had no control!

nope quadjunkies i havent any problems with the seat latch breaking and i;ve been doing quite a bit of racing myself!

Posted by: Jen696

ya I was at Byron on the 25th and it sure was MUDDY! I fell off in 1 moto and had like a pound of mud stuck to each glove, was hard to hold on but it was fun. I got 3rd overall out of 17. I was thrilled. Just got my 1st win last weekend but there was only 8 of us. But hey I'll take it! especially being the only female rider.
Anyone else coming out this weekend for the 2nd Nuke series race? It should be awesome. and I'll be at Byron practicing on Sat from 8am - noon. If anyone wants to come out and moto with me that would be cool, gets a lil boring riding alone and the bikes get a lil weirded out when i try ta ride with em, guess they think I'll run em over.

Jennifer

Posted by: Fred55

Im not going to be able to make the 2nd Nuke Series race .....its Mothers Day lol
I saw that you got a 1st last weekend...congrats! I hope the weather and track were better than before. I was on the Predator that you wrecked right in front of Hope to see you at Byron sometime soon!
