Nice, looks like your landing could use some reshaping

Posted by: rodenberg35

ya I just built the landing yesterday and it is getting packed in I will get it in shape this week. I ended up not landing on the dang thing most of the time anyways

Posted by: Kilabanshee

Cold you post the specs on that ramp???

Posted by: rodenberg35

Are you wanting to build one or was you just wondering? I will have to measure it tomorow I just kinda threw it together on day about 6 months ago and just now got a landing built. I would not copy this and if you do add a few more braces. I am going to have to work my design. I will get you some specs tommorow

Posted by: rodenberg35

does anyone have any tips on how to get your feet back to the the pegs after doing big tricks in the air. I get up and cant get down

Posted by: hondafreestyler

you have to pull yourself back to the quad ... your not just automatically gonna come back ...

wow man ... that first pic is sweet ... u got some DECENT air for just a little ramp

def. get some specs on that ...

Posted by: roostin_dale

sweet little ramp..i like it

Posted by: theTman

i wanna build sumthin like that this summer... taht is siiick air in the 1st pic

Posted by: Juggalo

thats a nice neck breaking machine you got there

Posted by: creech10

lets see some specs!

Posted by: rodenberg35

the ramp is 8 feet wide and 4' 6'' tall I dont know what the radius is. I just kinda started building it and didnt realy measure any thing but the hight and width. I can take some close up pics if that would help

Posted by: creech10

sure would

Posted by: Juggalo

things a death trap i'm tellin ya..why not just take a shovel and make a jump like that? it would take less time than it would to make something like that dangerous *** ramp

Posted by: rodenberg35

It aint broke yet girlfriend

Posted by: Juggalo

neither has my rev 3. and it never will unlike yours. do it right or dont do it at all.

Posted by: hondafreestyler

1.) A 5'x 8' pile of dirt with a shovel, plus repairs weekly....My time is more valuable than that!

2.) Send me a blank check and I will own a ramp exactly like yours! There is like 50 bucks new material, and the rest was laying around, and it took about 1 hour x 2 people to build...Lets just say 100 bucks total!

3.) How in the hell can you tell something is a "death trap" from a picture taken from 20+ feet?

There was plenty of thought put into this thing and it is plenty strong! Most peoples houses are not built as sturdy as this thing.

Oh and since you can see the future, what is tomorrows lottery numbers?

Posted by: dannyboy20

I dont see what the big deal is with wooden ramps. I mean as long as its sturdy then what does it matter. As we can all see you are getting some good air and the ramp is holding up. If I were going to build a ramp it would be out of wood also because i am no welder and i think wood is easier to obatain and work with.

Posted by: Berry

nice...
but how does landing on those rear tires feel like!

Posted by: rodenberg35

landing on the back tires wasnt that bad but it would have been nice to land on the landing. I kept over shooting it and only landing on like 3 foot of the landing

Posted by: hondafreestyler

hey man ....

get some close up pics and specs on all the material you used ...

it would be really helpful to me ... thanks man ...
also ... how much does that thing weigh? ...

thanks bro...

Well with 2 pretty healthy guys it will make your nutz swell a little loading it on a 16' flat trailer. 2 guys can easily drag it though.

Posted by: hondafreestyler

lol ... decent

how about the demensions and all materials needed?

Posted by: Juggalo

hmm well i guess professional freestylers and profession ramp builders should take a lesson from you guys then. obviousley you know waaay more than them.

BTW- we have about 100 bucks into our rev 3 not including plans.

LMAO.....I bet you do! I know what steel is worth. You would have close to that in plywood to cover the surface. Plus you didn't you figure labor did you?

Posted by: rodenberg35

hhmmm 100 bucks. well I guess that since I am not a pro I dont need anything that high-tec. do you get paid to do freestyle? I still cant get over the $100 dollar ramp, thats kinda like riding a wheelie at 70mph on a basicly stock 400ex. I when I get me 100$ bucks and some one smart enough to build a pro built ramp I will be cool like you.

Posted by: rodenberg35

for everyone else we took pics of the pile of crap ramp today and ghak will post them a little later

Posted by: bignorm

well acutally ghakk99 i know alot about metal to and u dont have to know alot about metal if ur ramp is free like juggalos all he paid for was the plans and we stole the ply wood. so it come to about 200 dollars and its way stronger than most ramps because its 1/4 thick and it angle iron. and soon enough we will have 2 more rev 3s at my place this summer. so we will have a total of 3 ramps chillen out back.

Posted by: Juggalo

actually we didn't steal the plywood we bought it. whoever said we'd have 100 bucks in the surfacer alone was right. thats all we had to pay for. we got all the metal for free from my friend the fabricator who also built it for us. i know you guys prob don't have acess to that but the point i was trying to make is you can save money on making ramps if you are clever enough

lol....Between the 2 of us we have every tool anyone would need to work on metal or wood. We used wood because it was something we could build in like an hour and use that afternoon and if we didn't like it we could scrap it and not be out anything. I don't know how you could get any cheaper than 100 bucks with all materials and labor included?

Posted by: Juggalo

rodenberg one more thing...my 400ex is stock? really!? thats news to me. thank god your here to set the record straight..i coulda sworn it had stuff done it it. guess not. whoo that was a close one.

i don't either unless you got the wood for free. but then rev 3 plans are still 250 bucks. but we built our first kicker with no plans, in one day, out of steel, for about 50 bucks.

Posted by: hondafreestyler

lol ...

you guys arguing is keeping me entertained ...

I just want some dimentions and the matierals need to build that little ramp ... I wanna build one damnit!
